About the event
Ayurveda*, “the Science of Life and Longevity”, is a holistic system of medicine that originated on the Indian subcontinent over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda believes that health imbalances stem from disharmony with nature’s rhythms. Therefore, Ayurveda’s main tools for finding and maintaining harmonious health are lifestyle and nutrition practices based on the season.
Join Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Clinical Herbalist Lynn Roberts and learn Ayurvedic seasonal practices to stay well this winter.
We will address practices to counteract the coming cold, windy, and dry weather to keep you healthy and feeling good all winter long, including:
- Foods and spices to favor
- Special oil massage
- Herbal teas to enjoy
- And other practices you can incorporate into your daily routine to harmonize with winter’s rhythms.
A special winter herbal tea will be provided for you to sip on as you listen, discuss, and reflect!

About Lynn Roberts
Lynn is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Clinical Herbalist who began her studies over 12 years ago. Lynn is a life-long learner and has most recently completed 3 years of herbal studies with renowned Herbalist Dr. David Winston, RH (AHG), and is currently pursuing her degrees nutrition and acupuncture to add even more value to her teachings and consultations.
Lynn uses humor and down-to-earth discussions, including anecdotes about her cats and their Doshas, to help her students begin to see life through an Ayurvedic lens. She believes that when we utilize this lens, we can all become better, more understanding human beings.
Her message to the world is: “Cultivate the best relationship with nature that you possibly can. Recognize that we are not separate from nature, but an extension of it”.
Lynn enjoys being a solitary green/kitchen witch and when she’s not in the garden or woods, she can most likely be found cooking something delicious, lifting weights, or enjoying a mystery novel. Lynn is also a Social Worker and Adapted Culinary Coach, helping those with developmental disabilities become more independent in the kitchen. She lives with her partner, 2 black cats, and lots of plants and books right outside of Philadelphia, PA.
