About the Event
SomaVeda Thai Yoga Therapy is a system of bodywork designed to improve range of motion, reduce stress and pain and relax the nervous system through facilitated passive yogic stretching, deep breathing and gentle pressing along the body’s meridians. While after a single session a recipient can feel a sense of breathing better or feeling two inches taller, it is recommended to receive 3-7 sessions in a row to feel the lasting benefits of this service.
1 hour sessions $20-100 sliding scale
About the practitioner:
Rachel is a practitioner of SomaVeda Thai Yoga Therapy. She has completed a 200 hour course through SomaVeda at InYoke Yoga & Wellness in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is continuing her education through this program with the end goal of achieving a doctorate in Ancient and Indigenous Medicine.
What to expect (from Rachel): "Each session lasts 60-90 minutes where you will be fully clothed (wear something comfortable) and fully pampered (you lay still, I’ll do all the work). I’ll work the whole body from the tips of your toes to the top of your head stretching your limbs and applying pressure similar to a massage. Thai Yoga facilitates a jolt to your system getting your blood and oxygen flowing, in turn leaving your body and mind feeling better than ever before"
